The 2024 Nobel Conference Sleep, Unraveled is happening October 1 & 2. What is the Nobel Conference and why should you care?
What is the Nobel Conference?
- Every year the Gustavus community gets to meet and hear from the leading researchers and thinkers.
- Gustavus is the only place in the country that has the permission from the Nobel Foundation in Sweden (same organization as the Nobel Prizes) to use the name “Nobel” for an event.
- It’s been happening on the Gustavus campus for the last 60 years!
- It is a time to explore a crucial topic both scientifically and ethically.
All you have to do is go!
- The Nobel Conference is happening Tuesday, October 1 & Wednesday, October 2
- The theme this year is Sleep, Unraveled
- Most classes and activities are canceled so students and faculty can attend.
- No tickets required.
- Main speakers are happening in Christ Chapel, with breakout sessions happening around campus.
- The conference is live streamed and archived on the conference website.
- Yes, you could “watch” it while you did seventeen other things, but let’s face it; all that multitasking makes you tired!
- Go to Christ Chapel and experience the excitement of being in a room full of people thinking about important ideas.
